No gay bars and lots of post college kids trying to be hip.
It’s far removed from everything and is almost a cliche of hipsterdom with a few cool places (next to heroin central in Kensington). The gayborhood is awesome though - a great place to bar hop and check out 5-6 gay bars and choose one of a dozen great restaurants.ĭon’t waste your time trekking/Ubering out to Fishtown/Kensington. U Bar is probably a, more “professional” middle class gay mans bar. But Tabu is pretty much the place to be for everything. But the late night dancing upstairs is fun. Woodys has become a beer bar with lots of straight girls.
